Sterilisation is key to Reducing Suffering
Cats living in the streets suffer.
They cannot find easily shelter from the summer desert heat, or the cold winters.
They cannot easily find appropriate food. Many starve, many are malnourished.
Cats mate out of instinct and many kittens are born in poor conditions. Their mothers often cannot care for them properly.
Female cats sometimes die from trying to give birth, or from pyometra, a bacterial infection in the womb.
Male cats fight and become injured.
All cats are under constant threat from cars, people, intentional and unintentional abuse.
By sterilising cats, the number of cats on the streets reduces, and cats become more healthy, have less chance of cancer and are not constantly malnourished from producing kittens.
People often allow their cats to have kittens, but then feel they have too many cats so they give them away or dump them in the streets. The cycle of abuse, neglect and suffering continues.
STERILISATION SAVES LIVES
Animals are our priority. We are an animal-centred charity.
Currently, we focus on the animals that cannot survive in the streets alone.
We only adopt out to homes where we know our rescues will be safe.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
We don't take animals from people who do not want them.
We do not adopt out to anyone who asks.
We do not focus on human needs.
We are an animal-centred charity.
